2014 New Year's Resolution – Israel

12/21/2013

This coming year, on June 8th, we will be traveling to Israel for TBA’s 6th community trip since 2006!   Each year we have visited new sites and returned to favorites.  Our trips are once in a lifetime experiences which have become stronger through the feedback and insight of TBA travelers over the years.

We will visit ancient and modern sites including: The Old City, Citadel Museum at David’s Tower, Cardo, Israel Museum, Tunnels under the Western Wall, Yad Vashem, Mount Herzl Military Cemetery, Judean Desert, Qumran Caves, Dead Sea, Masada, Caesarea, Crusader city of Acre, Port city of Haifa, Bahai Shrine, Rosh Hanikra, Safed, Jordan River, Golan Heights, Sea of Galilee, Tomb of Maimonides, Beit Shean, Tzippori, Tel Aviv, Independence Hall, Neve Zedek, Old Jaffa.

Traveling in the summer allows us a greater opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Israel's natural environment and this year in addition to enjoying the headwaters of the Jordan at Tel Dan and Banias, the beautiful Ein Gedi Oasis by the Dead Sea we will also be visiting the biblical nature reserve at Neot Kedumim.

Summertime also provides a chance to take part in an archaeological dig at Beit Guvrin and to enjoy horseback riding at Moshav Havatzelet HaSharon along the Mediterranean coast as well as the beautiful grottoes at Rosh Hanikra at Israel's most northern beach.

Visits to Zikhron Ya’akov and Latrun IDF Armored Corps center are two historical sites we have added this year in addition to the Palmach Museum which we first visited on last year's trip.

Make 2014 the year you resolve to visit Israel.  The information below will help you begin the journey of a lifetime!
